JAMB Warns on Jail Term For Cheating

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has warned candidates sitting for its Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination  (UTME) on march 24th that a seven year jail term awaits anyone caught cheating.

The Board’s Acting Director of Quality Assurance Mr. John Okonkwo Nwadulu gave the warning in Abuja while briefing coordinators at a meeting on effort being put in place to ensure smooth conduct of the examination.

He said, the examination is holding in 375 centers nationwide and six others abroad.

The Director, adviced the coordinators to avoid any act that could compromise the integrity and credibility of the examination.

The participants were exposed to the new Biometric Data Machine which is an improvement on ones used last year.
